I've got more data on the coloring issues.
I just reinstalled XP from scratch on my machine at work. Put SP2 on it, VS.NET 2k3 (brand new install) with everything turned on, and installed VA.X.
For some odd reason, the colors work fine now.
So here's a couple of data points:
1. All the other machines which appear to be having painting issues had VA.NET installed on them prior to installation of VA.X.
2. All the other machines had the DirectX SDK and its VSIP add-ons installed before the installation of VA.X.
Could it be either of these which are causing the problem? IIRC, on one machine with the coloring issues, I uninstalled VA.NET manually before installing VA.X - on the other, I don't think I did. |

| I've also observed with VA-X 1237 that color printing does not work. I've seen reports of that in earlier versions of VA-X as well on this forum (but not this thread.) I even brought up the VA-X options and checked the checkbox to allow color printing, hit apply, hit OK, exited the IDE and restarted it, and STILL it prints in black text on white paper (even when sent to a color printer like a Tek 850) |

| Let me clarify that I'm referring to using VA-X 1237 with Visual Studio 6 when I describe color printing as not working. My install is 'dual', on both VS6 and VS2003. On VS2003, there is no obvious checkbox for 'color printing' as there is on VS6. |

Thank you! I had not found that message, but probably I didn't look hard enough. So color printing in VC 6 has been broken since 1230, not 1237? To be fixed in 12??? |
