Hi,

I have a problem that va_x will not start anymore. It gives an 'Package load failure'. Reinstalling it did not help, it gives the same error during the installation (build 1223 and 1239).

I wanted to send the startup.log/va.log to the support, but does not contain mutch info:

EDL::290 6/7/2004 13:43:19
EDL::304 6/7/2004 13:43:19
EDL::323 6/7/2004 13:43:20
EDL: 0, 40, True:370 6/7/2004 13:43:20
EDL::310 6/7/2004 13:43:20
EDL::310 6/7/2004 13:43:49
EDL::310 6/7/2004 13:43:51
EDL::409 6/7/2004 13:43:51
EDL::419 6/7/2004 13:44:00
EDL::448 6/7/2004 13:44:00

Is it posible to enable the 'logging' function without starting VA_X?
e.q. by changing a registry key.

Best regards,

Are you now running a system debugger?

The only debugger i know of is mdm.exe (Microsoft Debugger Service) and it is running.

Does VAx depend on other system services to work?

Do you have any other VSIP packages installed? If so, trying disabling or uninstalling them to see if you have a conflict.

I don't have other VS packages installed.

The point is, VAx used to work. The only thing i can remember that might have caused this, is that I did some system maintenance and disabled a few (supposed ably unnecessary) services. But after switching them back on, it still did not work. So IG??m not to sure about that is the cause.

Is there a way to make VAx tell why it will not start? Just saying that it did not start is not getting me any further.

Respectfully,
Marco

Do you have a localized IDE?

Send a message to [email protected]. We might send you a debug DLL.
