Is there any way that the options window could be made resizable?
This would allow a user to have a larger viewing area when adding/modifying Autotext and Templates. I realize that there are scroll bars on that screen but it just seems like we're looking through a narrow crack in the fence. |

Good idea. For now, you could always use Notepad to edit the (for example) "C:\\Program Files\\Visual Assist X\\Templates\\Cpp.tpl" file...

What about a button that just spawns out a full size scintilla window? |

Yes that is definitely an option. Instead of editing them in the existing window, you would edit them in an "Edit Autotext & Templates" dialog box that would appear when the user clicked a "Modify" button. That way the existing options screen could be left as is. |

Someone else in my office just pointed out that if you right click the selection margin of any source code file, you get a pop up that allows you to "Edit Code Templates" using the code editor. This is the same as modifying the cpp.tpl file in notepad but much quicker.
I didn't know about the extra features that VA X adds to the popup for the selection margin. Cool! |

SHIFT + Rightclick anywhere within the Code-Editor will open this Menu, too! |

That's what my co-worker told me to do first, but for some reason nothing pops up when I <shift><Right click>. |

I bet he has NOT enabled "Extend Context Menu" in the VAX-Options --> Text Editor --> General
Just disabled it and it now shows rblondeau's behaviour! |

The "Extend Context Menu" option IS enabled.
What actually happens is when I <shift><right click>, the pop-up momentarily flashes up on the screen, but then it disappears. It doesn't seem to matter where I try on the screen, the pop-up won't stay popped-up .
From what I can see (before it closes), the pop-up does contain the same menu items that appear when you right click in the selection margin. |
