I know this is OT, but I'm desperate.
I split this large RC file into multiple RC files. So now, when I right click on, say, a button in one of the dialogs that were split out, and choose the 'Add Variable' menu item, the frigging 'control variable' checkbox is disabled in the Wizard!
I've read everything I can find on UseNet, and the problem is not that the files aren't checked out. I've deleted the NCB and APS files.
This is an old bug, and Microsoft has no interest in fixing it (probably because they can't figure out how). Someone tell me again what a great IDE this is compared to VC6...
(Also, while I'm ranting, this is another example of why controls should NEVER be disabled. The idiot that disabled the controls knows EXACTLY why they're disabled, but there's no way for us to figure it out. If he had just popped a message box instead - "You can't add control variables because the Thurman unit is on the fritz" - we could probably find a fix.)
