Syntax highlighting doesnt work for .java files. However if the document is horizontally scrolled by clciking on the scrollbar on the bottom of the window, the syntax highlighting shows thorugh. It goes away as soon as the first column of the doument is scrolled back in view.
VS 6 came with Visual J++. It was on a separate disc, and had a separate install routine. I never ran the install, so I can't say whether it used the same IDE or not.
