I'm using build 1284 with Visual Studio 6.0.
I use the Boost.Bind library and find that instead of 'bind', VAX suggests 'BOOST_BIND'. This is OK - I don't expect VAX to find bind as it uses templates on steroids (although 'BOOST_BIND' seems a strange suggestion for 'bind'....).
However, after I've types the 'd' of 'bind', I press '(' to start a function call and VAX replaces 'bind' with 'BOOST_BIND'. I have VAX set to only accept suggestions with Tab or Enter, so why is this happening?!?!? Here's a picture of the suggestion box with 'BOOST_BIND' in:
A truncated view of support info is included below. I've not included my directory list, as it's rather long.

I'm a bit vague about this, but I seem to remember support telling us some story about the "accept with..." options only applying to suggestion listboxes (they're the ones with question marks), not to member/completion listboxes. This was to match some behaviour that people might be used to in the IDE. I strongly believe this is the wrong idea. All listboxes — suggestion, member and completion — should accept suggestions the same way. Otherwise I have to think about what sort of listbox I'm looking at. |
