the DropDown list "Files in Workspace" contains only files from a
few projects. Most files are missed. Also for projects with at least
one file listed are some files missed. |

Mind running with logging to help us debug the problem? Open VC6 without a workspace open and turn on logging via the Performance tab of the VA options dialog, open the workspace and exit the IDE. This will create a file "c:\\va.log", please zip and send to [email protected].

I too am having this problem with VC6.
I am using
VA_X.dll file version 10.0.1219.0
VAOpsWin.dll version 1.0.0.40
MSDev.exe version 6.0.8168.1
Devshl.dll version 6.0.8798.0
Devedit.pkg version 6.0.8447.0
Font: Courier -16(Pixels)
Comctl32.dll version 5.82.2800.1106
WindowsNT 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1
Single processor
My project contains many "sub-projects". It seems that most of the files that appear in the "Files in Workspace" area, come from one or more of the sub-projects.

recall,
is there anything new about this topic.
this topic also affects "symbols in workspace" and the "find symbol dialog".
it seems that all symbols im missing are located in the files im missing in "files in workspace".
btw. all other parts of VAX like syntax-highliting, definition bar, etc. works fine for all symbols. |

Schoenherr, have you tried build 1221?
We fixed a bug in 1221 where VA added too many \\'s while appending paths. We think this was the main problem in the logs you sent.
If this is still not fixed in 1221, please send more logs and we will have another look. |

related info:
if i open the files missing in "Files in Workspace" in the editor then symbols apear correctly in "Symbols in Workspace" but files keep missing in "Files in Workspace"
for your information: i'm using "parse all files when opening a project" option |

VA was unable to parse environment variables in VC6 source paths.
Fixed in 1231. |
