Open file in workspace does not work at all with linked files. In C# I have to link files otherwise VS likes to copy the file to my project directory. So I create a linked file. VAX thinks the file resides in my project directory instead of where it actually resides so it will not open the file. This is perhaps why I have to open files for VAX to work against information in them (and why VA View only works against the current source file).
I should ammend this to say that, if I actually open the file in the IDE then VAX open workspace has the correct path to the file (along with the incorrect path). The file paths show up in the project:
